I had a chance to have a little chat with Mark Friga Jr. of FrozenCPU.com, and ask him a few questions about his store, and here is what he had to say.

WildReviews: Firstly, tell us, who is Mark Friga Jr.?
Mark: I am 30 years old, MCSE NT4.0, A+ Certified Network + Certified.
I also have a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Niagara U, I own and operate FrozenCPU.com INC., we are a Sub S Corp located in Fairport, NY.

WildReviews: Ok, for someone who has never visited, tell us, what is FrozenCPU.com
Mark: FrozenCPU.com is company that is in the market to sell, and or
manufacture pc modification equipment. We are dedicated to bringing cutting edge computer accessories to the PC Enthusiast. We are a real brick and mortar location as well as a high profile e-commerce site.

WildReviews: What was your inspiration to start FrozenCPU.com?
Mark: My inspiration was starting my own business, I was not interested in working
for anyone, that was my drive. Also the fact that I was able to start abusiness in a field I was working in at the time was great.

WildReviews: I agree with you for not wanting to work for anyone.

WildReviews: So when did you officially launch FrozenCPU.com?
Mark: 1999

WildReviews: When I first heard the name FrozenCPU, the first thing that came to my mind was this store, obviously has something to do with CPU cooling, My question is, how did you really come up with such a name?
Mark: I didn’t, a friend of mine did. We were drilling blowholes in
cases in his garage with hole saws and I wanted 3 (three) 120mm holes in my case. He said you won’t stop until your CPU is so cold it’s frozen. Thus FrozenCPU.com was born

WildReviews: I can understand why he said that, those are some really large holes!

WildReviews: I know that some business owners have an "e-store", and still work for someone else, but above you said that you didn't want to work for anyone so that’s why you started you own store. Now, how much free time do you have, after dealing with the daily operations of FrozenCPU.com, and what do you with what time you have?
Mark: FrozenCPU is my fulltime job and, it has been for 3 years now. I work 11-8, pretty much every day, sometimes Saturday’s too.

WildReviews: So what do you do with your free time?
Mark: Well now I am spending some time at home on my new house doing
projects there. Also, I enjoy playing a lot of Game-Cube, Zelda. I go out, spend
time with friends, and that’s really about it.

WildReviews: Ok, so you are not kept too busy.... good.
Mark: Yes.

WildReviews: FrozenCPU.com seems to be somewhat of a "modders" paradise, was that your intention?
Mark: It was in a sense, at this point we are still growing as a company. We are offering more products, and will continue to do so.

WildReviews: Well if you are still growing, and offer that broad selection, I can't wait to see what you will offer when you consider your company mature.

WildReviews: Where, in terms of location, does your clientele range from?
Mark: We ship all over the world daily, and our clients ages range from 12 - 55.

WildReviews: In a question I asked you before, you said that you wre a real brick & mortar location.... So does that mean that someone can actually walk into your store and buy there?
Mark: Yes, totally.

WildReviews: So did you start online first and then move into a physical store? Or vice versa?
Mark: Online first, out of 1 bedroom apt.

WildReviews: So when did you open your physical location?
Mark: 2001.

WildReviews: For those who have just started out with PC Modification, What do you consider to a good beginner mod?
Mark: Window kit.

WildReviews: Do you have any advice for beginners in PC Modification?
Mark: uhm, not really.

WildReviews: How many different products did you start with, and how many are you carrying now?
Mark: 20 different products I think I started with, we have over 1500 now.

WildReviews: Are there any plans to start carrying more computer hardware, (eg. motherboards, hard drives etc.) and software?
Mark: That’s something that we have wrestled with since the birth of this business. I may in the future, but have not found the need to do that as of yet.

WildReviews: What can we expect to see from FrozenCPU.com in the future?
Mark: New products, new services, case switch over services locally only. We are offering a hardware switch over from old crappy cases to ours, and more sleeving and wire tucking services

WildReviews: Being as successful as you are, what advice would you give to an aspiring entrepreneur who is thinking of starting his or her own business?
Mark: My advice would be to not go into PC modification and /or cooling business!!!!

WildReviews: Are you saying that from the stand point as in you don't want any competition OR it’s just that it’s a lot of work?
Mark: No more comps!! LOL

WildReviews: Alright Mark, I appreciate the time you have taken out of your obviously busy day(s) to do this interview with me.
