Introduction

I am going to say two words, what's the first thing that comes to your mind? Mouse Bungee. Even though I know what it is, I am using it right now, when I think about that word, I still draw a blank, every time!

A Mouse Bungee; what is it you may ask? Basically in short, it is a mouse cord keeper. It prevents your mouse cord from being tangled, and avoids you from having to keep tuggin at the cord for additional length. This comes in especially handy during "crucial" times, like when playing your favorite game.

When I first heard of the Mouse Bungee I can honestly say I didn't know what to expect. Even though I read of its uses, I still didn't know what to expect of it, and what difference it would really make to my daily mousing.

Anyway when the Mouse Bungee arrived I was surprised to see the variety that they sent to me. I got five very small white boxes, and inside them were a variety of color bungee's.

Installation
This has to be one of the easiest installations that I have ever seen. Some of the Bungee's I got already had the clear rubber feet mounted. If it didn't come with the feet secured, it was only a matter of sticking on the self-adheasive to the base. The image below shows the three area's where the feet are supposed to be placed.

The image below shows a Mouse Bungee with the feet already installed.

Securing the cable was also very easy. As shown in the image below, there are only three steps. (1) Squeezing the fins to open cord clip, (2) inserting the mouse cord, and (3) pressing the cord into the grips on the back of the unit.

The black one that I received was a little different to the others. The cord clip was completely different to that of the others, there were no fins to open the clip, it was just a matter of passing through the mouse cord. This was a little more difficult than the other versions. I have a feeling that this was an earlier model. Also another difference is the style of the base. The black one's base is a lot more rounded than that of the other transluncent ones, and the white one.

As you can see in the two images above, there is a distinct difference between the two types.

As you can see in the images there is a large steel ball in the center, this is used to weigh down the Bungee to keep it from sliding. The rubber feet also stop any moving. I tried pulling the Bungee until it turned over and it wasn't happening. After it came up on the two front feet it would just slide forward, it wouldn't flip over.

The image above shows the Bungee at rest (left), and the image on the right shows the Bungee with "stress" on it. In other words it is showing how the Bungee would look when you are pulling on it.

Conclusion
After I received the Bungee, I used it for a while, and when I was writing the review, I removed the Bungee to take some pictures of it. It felt very very strange using the mouse without it. I never thought that would happen. I was suffering from withdrawl.

It's a very simply item but can prove to be very useful. The Bungee's come in many different colors, the translucent ones are great. The orange and the blue colors are spectacular, I would love to see the green in the translucent.

Overall I think that this is a great very simple item. If you still use a corded mouse this is the perfect compliment to your mouse.
