Introduction
After seeing VLSystem's LCD's on their website, and reading about their features I became quite fascinated with them. After speaking with the people in sales, I was told that one would be sent from their headquarters in Korea to me. I was elated to finally have the opportunity to review it.

Upon receiving the package and opening it I was very impressed with the way the LCD was packaged. The entire thing was completely enclosed in foam insulation, so even if there was any damage done to the package box during shipping there would be no damage done to the LCD.

As you can see from the pictures above the LCD is completely enclosed in foam.

Upon further inspection of the package I found that they had sent to me their "L.I.S Blue Platinum LCD", which was nice, as my favorite color is Blue! The package included almost everything I would need to get the LCD installed and up and running.

Various informations of PC hardware and System appear on our elegant LCD. For the previous model, parallel mode, its have many problems of complication, difficulty for use, unsupported of various OS, Software compatibility and unstable operation. However, we adopt not such a parallel mode but Serial one, so user can be used it for stable, various, easy condition.
We adopt fast full 8bit mode in order to use graphic equalizing function of winamp and splendid information.
When you get new mail, it informs user by twinkling on LCD or playing MP3, WAVE Files.
We use exclusive operating program (L.I.S Main) not so as to discord between each program.
Futhermore, it can be supported various OS (Win98/ 98SE/ME, NT/2000/XP) just using oneoperating program.
Appling to the Blue, Red, Green color letter CD, it can be obtained brilliant tuning effect. (Basic 2x20 LCD model support)

IBM PC compatible with USB port :: Pentium II CPU and 64MB RAM or above is recommended
More than 4MB hard disk drive space is required :: 5.25 Inch bay :: Windows O/S such as WIN98/ME, WIN NT/2000/XP

The LCD's bracket is made of a very high quality plastic (I think). Funnily, it sounds like metal, it is as strong as some metals, and is very hard to bend, yet, I took my pocket knife and scraped off a very small piece of the frame and it came off like plastic. In any case the bracket is VERY strong.

Over the face of the bracket there is a piece of acrylic, a little less than 15cm x 4.3cm and is approximately 2mm thick. Now it is secured to the bracket by 4 copper bolts. On the far left of the face there are 2 push button (ON/OFF) switches, one for the LCD's Power and one for the backlight. Both switches work independently of each other and are clearly marked for their function.

The Yellow circle shows where the 4-pin Power & Communication cable is connected.
